Disarming Beauty: A Dialogue on Faith, Truth and Freedom

With Fr. Julián CARRÓN, Professor of Theology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan and President of the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation, Mauro FERRARI, CEO, Methodist Research Institute, Marlon HALL, Anthropologist and entrepreneur, M.J. KHAN, President of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston, and Louis MARKOS, Professor of English at Houston Baptist University

Presented by Crossroads Cultural Center and Communion and Liberation

In his newly released book Disarming Beauty, Fr. Julián Carrón offers a broad analysis of the pressing questions facing today’s society: the challenges of cultural polarization, the purpose of education, the difficulty of motivating young people, and developments in family life. Is it possible to find common ground in an increasingly polarized world? Is there a way for a true, wide-ranging dialogue between people from different backgrounds? What is the role of education in modern society? Is it possible to regain a sense of wonder and desire in front of life?

The event is open to the public and free of charge.
